Membership
Livestock producers raising pigs, sheep, goats and cattle on Hawai‘i Island are now invited to apply for membership in the Hawai‘i Island Meat Cooperative (HIMC). HIMC will begin offering mobile USDA-inspected slaughter services in April 2017. Membership provides priority scheduling, reduced fees, access to HIMC’s marketing program, and the opportunity to join a new and exciting local business owned and operated by and for island meat producers.

For the full business plan, please fill out and submit a Confidentiality Agreement and we will be happy to send you a copy.
To apply for membership online, please follow the instructions below:
- Complete a HIMC Application for Membership
- Submit New Member Scheduling Form. This gives HIMC an estimate of the number and type(s) of animals a producer wants to slaughter and proposed time for slaughter.
- Submit $600 application fee to HIMC ($500 for one share of Membership Common Stock; $100 recurring annual membership fee). Please make checks payable to Hawai‘i Island Meat Cooperative and send to P.O. Box 371, Pa‘auilo, HI 96776.
- If you’re interested in participating in HIMC’s marketing program, please review and sign the Production Standards and Owner Certificate (not required for membership)
